Objectives (course unit)
Student
-knows the principles of scientific research and know the differneces of qualitative and quantitative research
- knows the research process and understands the significance of research for the development of working practices
- knows the most common research methods and learns to apply them adequately
- can plan an experimental research study
- knows the procedure of the thesis process at TAMK and requirements of a thesis
- knows the processes of searching information and is able to evaluate information critically.

Assessment methods and criteria
Continuous evaluation: research plan (15 %), thesis analysis (50 %), presentation of the thesis analysis (15 %), peer review (10 %), activity and participation in lessions and discussions (10 %).
