Objectives (course unit)
The student:
- is able to provide the necessary patient care facilities and equipment and is able to check their operations and operational safety
- is able to meet the patient when arriving
- is able to act as an anaesthesiological nurse during the induction, maintenance and end of anaesthesia
- is able to observe anaesthetised and locally anaesthetised patients by collecting information about the patient's physiological state, analysing the collected information and drawing conclusions for the implementation of patient care
- is able to implement a patient's fluid therapy
- is able to implement a patient's medical treatment
- is able to implement the patient's pain management and a variety of pain management methods
- is able to act as an anaesthesiological nurse during the patient's postoperative phases
- is able to implement aseptic principles in patient care
- is able to maintain the continuity of care verbally and by using manual and electronic documents
- is able to work as part of the surgical team recognising his/her own responsibilities
- is able to work in promoting the patient's health
- is able to evaluate his/her own professional development during the clinical training and is able to identify his/her own development challenges

Prerequisites (course unit)
First year and middle phase studies completed, at least 135 credits, including the basic level studies in the field of the optional professional studies. Participation in Anaesthesiological Nursing 4 credits
