Objectives (course unit)

The students know
- the proper code of conduct in a laboratory environment
- how to use the essential equipment in the laboratory
- the use and properties of the basic measuring devices
- the theory and practice of the basic measurements
- how to make connections with the help of given plans
- how to present the results of laboratory work and how to draw conclusions from them.

Content (course unit)

Laboratory work in small groups. Measurements of electrical and automation phenomena. Studying the properties of the of the basic components of the devices used in electrical and automation engineering. Practicing the use of measurement devices and linking the results to the phenomenon studied. Reports of the work done.
Concentration on the proper code of conduct and safety in the laboratory.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Basics of Electrical Engineering or similar skills.
