Orientation to clinical training, perioperative nursing (1 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student
- is able to prepare patient for the operation;
- is able to monitor vital signs;
- knows how to apply the principles of aseptic practice and is able to follow standard infection control precautions.

Content (course unit)

- patient observation and maintenance of patient airway
- aseptic procedures and surgical equipment in operating theatre

30 ects of initial stage studies completed

Perioperatiivisen hoitotyön teoriaopinnot oltava käyty tai niitä käydään orientoivan harjoittelun rinnalla.
100% osallistuminen jokaiseen kolmeen teema-alueeseen (anestesiahoitotyö, leikkaushoitotyö, perioperatiivinen laiteteknologia)

Student workload

Opiskelijalla 4h anestesiahoitotyön, 4h leikkaushoitotyön ja 4h perioperatiivisen laiteteknologian orientoivaa harjoittelua.
