Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to
- describe the pre-analytical requirements of hormone, tumour marker, drug, and intoxicant tests, and indications for these tests
- explain principles of analysis methods and operating principles of analysers used in these laboratory tests
- apply their knowledge in analysis
-understand the clinical meaning of analyses and can evaluate the reliability of laboratory results and analysis processes
- apply quality management principles in their work

Hormone, tumour marker, drug and intoxicant tests
Most common vitamin and trace element examinations

Prerequisites (course unit)

The student must have passed 7B00BC50 Basic Tests III in Clinical Chemistry before the course 7B00BF19 Special Tests in Clinical Chemistry
