Objectives (course unit)

This course wraps up the core content of the whole Degree Programme. Student teams will be given an international business project to analyse and evaluate.

When the student has passed the course he/she will know and understand the following:
- Special features of international project work
- Charasteristics of operating in the international environment
- Particularities of interaction in the international circles
- Significance of cultural openness
- Core elements of the certification process (IPMA)

After completing the course the student can:
- Take into account effects that derive from the international nature of a project
- Contribute to creating project documentation for an international project
- Use a variety of good practices of international project work
- Independently lay framework for any international project
When the student has passed the course he/she will be:
- Able to act as an internationally oriented member of a project team
- Familiar with the special demands of international projects
- Self-reliant among an international group of project professionals
- Aware of sources of information concerning international project practices
- Prepared to be qualified as a cerfied project manager

Content (course unit)

The course covers the process of an international project in practice. The content is the A to Z of international project management, i.e. initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controllind, as well as closing a project.

A study trip abroad is included and the participants will be familiarized with the international project professionals’ certification system by IPMA.
