Professional Swedish for Biomedical Laboratory Science, Oral (2 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

Students
- in interviewing patients can ask for the key information needed for successful sampling
- can guide diverse patients in the most common sampling situations and other examinations of biomedical laboratory science
- can communicate in Swedish as regards typical work tasks of biomedical laboratory scientists in multiprofessional work communities
- can develop their language skills in their special field using diverse learning tools
- attain such oral Swedish skills as are required by the university of applied sciences legislation and that are necessary for practising the profession

General upper secondary school syllabus for B-language or equivalent skills
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, level B1

Kirjallinen tentti: ke 21.3.2018 klo 12.00-14.00
Suullinen tentti: ke 21.3.2018 klo 14.30-17.15 tai to 22.3.2018 klo 12.00-16.30 erillisen aikataulun mukaan, joka sovitaan yhteisesti kurssilla

Evaluation methods and criteria

Arviointi T1-3 ja H4-5. Läsnäolovelvoite 80 % lähiopetuksesta. Aktiivinen osallistuminen työskentelyyn opintojaksolla, suulliset harjoitukset ja suullinen tentti. Opintojaksopalaute on pakollinen osasuoritus.

Opettajan jakamat ja ryhmän itsensä tuottamat materiaalit Tabulassa.

Student workload

Lähioppimiskerrat (yht. 30 h molemmilla kursseilla). Läsnäolovelvollisuus on 80 % lähioppimiskerroista. Itsenäinen työskentelyosio (keskimäärin n. 50 h) sisältää tunneilla käsiteltyihin osa-alueisiin liittyvät kotitehtävät ja tentteihin valmistautumisen.
