Objectives (course unit)

The student will be able to:
- recognize the possibilities of team learning and is able to learn in a team.
- act constructively in dialogues.
- create and evaluate new, up-to-date skills with the team.
- evaluate strengths and weaknesses of different business models.
- use various business modeling tools.

Content (course unit)

What is the meaning of learning organization?
What are the advantages of team learning?
How can you learn in a team?
What kind of business models exist and what are the possibilities and challenges of those models?
What kind of tools are used when creating and developing business models?

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student knows the principles of team learning and dialogue in theory. They understand how new knowledge is being produced together. They know different kinds of business models and related tools and knows some of their strengths and weaknesses.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The students know the principles of team learning and dialogue and has tried them out in real life. they have experienced how new knowledge is produced together and they are able to evaluate their own development. They know possibilities of different business models and are able to use some related tools.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The students show their competence in team learning and dialogue in practice and in theory. As active participants, they build new knowledge in their team. They are able to put business models in practice and know how to use tools to develop them. They are able to evaluate their skills realistically.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Failed, if
The student knows the basics of team learning and dialogue only cursorily. He/she is not committed to the rules of his team and does not participate in knowledge creation. He/she knows some business models but none of their characteristics. His/her ability to use related tools is minimal.

Location and time

Please see the Pakki/Lukkarikone applications and follow the information on Proakatemia's and your teams communication channels. The paja sessions are twice a week defined by the team.

Exam schedules

There are no traditional exams. You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in various other ways, i.e. solving challenges in one day sprint. The coach/teacher will provide further details as the course goes on.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in pajas and activities - accepted by team and coach
- minimum 120 paja hours
- learning contract presentation
- business presentations
- contribution to building the learning enabling networks

Learning portfolio / paja notebook - accepted by team and coach
- learning diary = paja notebook; once a month from analog to digital summary (7.4., 10.5. and 2.6.) to share with the team and the coaches

Content creation: 10 content points - accepted by learner and coach
- details will be created together and published in Teams.

Birth giving Final Exam - accepted by team and coach and commissioner

Teaching methods

Learning methods and environments in TAMK Proakatemia combine practical work and self/team reflection. There are training sessions "pajas" (primings, dialogue, workshops, independent studying), literature, writing and publishing, expert lectures and other fact-finding, project work, seminars, learning cells and common events.

Learning materials

Literature advise from coaches, teachers and other teampreneurs.
We recommend you read at least three of these or equivalent books:

Student workload

1 ECTS credit point = 27 hours of student's work. Keep a record of your hours in your individual study plan.

Failed
The students know the concepts only superficially or are not able to apply them in practice in their team. The student does not operate according to the chosen values and procedures. They have failed on some of the required items without an acceptable replacement task (agreed with the coach).

Approved
The students have demonstrated that they comprehend the main concepts of the topic in the context of their team. They have applied them in practice together with other team entrepreneurs. The students operate according to the chosen values and procedures. They have passed all required items.

Failed
The students know the concepts only superficially or are not able to apply them in practice in their team. The student does not operate according to the chosen values and procedures. They have failed on some of the required items without an acceptable replacement task (agreed with the coach).
