Objectives (course unit)

The student masters the use of modern tools in the design and development tasks of mechanical products and understands the significance of the high-quality design. The student masters the 3D modeling, the creation of the product structure which is in accordance with the demands, the production of 2D drawings, data transfer between the systems, the creation of sheet metal parts, the modeling and use of mechanisms in virtual machine design.

3D modeling (parts, assemblies), production of drawings, data transfer between the systems, sheet metal parts, mechanisms, product structure, virtual machine design.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Student has basic skills to design machine components and can design with CAE (in 2D and 3D).

Exam schedules

There is no exam.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Exercises. Each exercise is estimated to 0-5 and calculate the average. The most extensive course work is divided into several parts of the assessment.

Exercises, assignments, lecture, classroom teaching. Independent study.

60 hours of classroom teaching and 60 hours of independent study.

To apply what they have learned to practical problems. Is able to choose various options for the most appropriate procedure, and justify the choice. Identify and adhere to their own field of important policies.

Combines the learned to the professional context. Is able to find a variety of approaches and alternative solutions and experiment with new operations model. To understand the economic and well-being effects of their actions and know how to act in anticipation of them.
