ACADEMIC WRITING
Find three texts on the topic ou your Master's thesis or antoher topic related to your studies. Write a scientific article (~ 500 words) based on these three sources and your own study and your own thinking. Include vocabulary lists of all three texts (20 words/text) with the key terminology and academic words. Study the TAMK instructions for referencing and show that you master citations and paraphrases in the text and know how to make the list of references at the end of your article. Submit your article for assessment and be prepared to make the corrections suggested.
NEGOTIATIONS
This is a pair or group work task. Plan a negotiation situation or choose one of the examples. Write a manuscript for the negotiation and submit it for a check-up. Make the possible corrections and play act the negotiation and video record it. Submit the video for assessment. The negotiation should last 15-30 minutes. If you are the only one doing the independent study, you can either attend the English class when negotiations are practiced or do a conference presentation instead.
CONFERENCE PRESENTATION
This is an alternative task to negotiations in case you are working on you own. Prepare a conference presentation on your research following the guidelines for presentations. Provide visual support in the form of pp slides or equivalent. Please see the assessment criteria for each taks under the relevant heading in Tabula.
