Objectives (course unit)
After completing the course, students can consider the key physical and chemical factors and related requirements in building design. In addition, students know the effect of structural factors on the energy economy. Students can determine the most common heat insulations according to requirements. They know the key moisture phenomena and can apply them in their work. Students can use silencing and sound insulation information in their work. Students know the key chemical phenomena related to construction materials and structures and can consider them in selecting materials and making designs.
Content (course unit)
Definitions of heat insulations and heat passage coefficients in basic cases
Air humidity
Moisture of construction materials and structures
Basic information on flows
