Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to form a general idea of TAMK University of Applied Sciences as an operational environment and to form a picture of the studying possibilities offered.
Student is able to use the essential TAMK's IT-systems and is able to start designing personal study plan. Student is able to use library and ICT services. The student is able to use basic ICT tools. Student is able to start collaboration in an international student team.

- introduction to the study programme
- the library and the electronic sources of information
- student health care
- the intranet and the other vital ICT services of TAMK
- Basic ICT skills: Computers and networks, Word processing, spreadsheets and presentations exercises; Internet etiquette.
- Collaboration in an international student team
