Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to
- identify biomedical laboratory science research issues and perceive solutions to them
- select and define a working life oriented thesis topic that supports their own learning and develops biomedical laboratory science
- make a thesis plan, justify their choices and definitions
- use national and international sources of information in thesis preparation
- independently and critically select information for the theoretical basis of the thesis
- apply appropriate research approach
- take into account property rights and respect them
- take into account research ethics and ethical principles of health care

Thesis idea seminar, choice of subject and cropping
Thesis process and its phases
Working life cooperation
Thesis design and plan preparation, application for a permit, agreements
Carrying out of the thesis under supervision
Methodological studies such as qualitative and quantitative research methods and literature review
Research ethics

7b00BJ02 Introduction to Research and Information Acquisition Skills 5 cr course has been completed successfully
