Objectives (course unit)

TAMK Consulting Academy (TCA) is a project management module aimed to prepare students for a challenging profession as a corporate advisor, business consultant or as an entrepreneur. The course approach is practical and all projects are R&D related (www.tamk.fi/tca).

TCA set up consists teams of 3-4 students by picking up existing project or start project of their own.

After completing the course, the students will be able to:

Indicate the difference between a theoretical project and a practical one.
Analyse complexity of contemporary entrepreneurship.
Accomplish the project, analyze and report the results to customer.

How to evaluate the resources available?
How to execute a project step by step?
What do networks and networking mean in practice?

None. Evaluation will be done from the consultation projects.

Teaching methods

Consultation projects from companies and working life, students working independently in small groups between contact lessons, sharing project status and results with other students in contact lessons.
