Objectives (course unit)

The course studies basic terms, principles and rules of competition and public procurement.

Students
- know basic concepts, principles and rules of competition law
- know improper procedures in business activity
- know what are cooperation and cartels between competitors
- know misuse of dominant market position and supervision of company acquisitions
- know legal protection means and sanctions of competition law
- know basic concepts, principles and rules of public procurements
- can apply competition and public procurement norms and analyse and solve related legal problems

What is competition law?
What do improper procedures mean in business activity?
What are cooperation and cartels between competitors?
What is misuse of dominant market position?
How are company trades controlled?
What are legal protection means and sanctions of competition law?
What are public procurements and where to find more information on them?
How to process public procurements?
What are the rights of private persons in public procurements?
What are publicity and concealment in public procurements?
