Drawing and Painting Project 1 (5cr)

Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to develop expression through various painting or drawing techniques. Students have knowledge and understanding of their subject area in the context of Fine Art.
Student is able to analyse their know how, used production techniques and outcomes. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.
Students know the possibilities of sustainable production methods.

Content (course unit)

Student observes painting or drawing in contemporary art as a part of the continuum of art history. Student experiments with undercoating techniques, materials and techniques as well as the discourse of contemporary painting and artists’ professional practices.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Basics of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria

Attendance in lessons, active participation, quality of work for all exercises.
Grading is based on your work, effort, attitude, class participation, and attendance & punctuality. The degree of difficulty and risk-taking of your projects will be of utmost importance in grading.
