Objectives (course unit)

The student will be equipped with the technical and perceptual skills to observe a life model and competently render the human form from that.

Content (course unit)

During the course, the student will work directly from the life model, with a tutor on hand to provide one-to-one guidance.
The student will have the opportunity to work with different techniques, including chalk, pencil and ink.

11.9. 9-12 The proportions of the human body. Drawing exercises with charcoal or pencil.
18.9. 9-16 Drawing the human head and neck. Drawing exercises with charcoal or pencil.
25.9. 9-12 Drawing the human legs and hands. Drawing exercises with charcoal or pencil.
2.10. 9-16 Drawing with ink. Exercises.
30.10. 9-12 Feedback for the sketchbooks
6.11. 9-12 Drawing with mixed media (possibility to use pastels). Exercises.
13.11. 9-12 Drawing with mixed media (possibility to use pastels). Exercises.
20.11. 9-12 Drawing with mixed media (possibility to use gouache). Exercises.
27.11. 9-12 Drawing with mixed media (possibility to use gouache). Exercises.
4.12. 9-12 Feedback for the whole course. Every student presents 5 drawings made for drawing course.

Further information

The drawing class starts on Friday 4.9. at 9a.m. The lessons are on Friday's usually at 9-12am, on some Friday's 9-16 in Mediapolis, room 20064.

Assessment criteria - pass/fail (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

At least 80% attendance of in lessons. All tasks delivered in time.
