Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to:
- plan and implement the record production process by using professional techniques
- apply studio production techniques during the record production process to achieve an end result which is as successful as possible from the artistic, productional and economic points of view
- work with the customers
- collaborate in an international student team.

Content (course unit)

- Advanced studio acoustics
-Coming up with the idea, developing and implementing recording projects and the related internal and external contents
-Working as a record producer in recording projects
-Hardware and software of recording studios
- Recording, mixing and premastering in stereo and surround environment
-Current copyright issues

Prerequisites (course unit)

Basics of the subject.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Student is able to:

Student hands in the assignments. Assignments shows descent skills. Student attend at least 40% of classes. Student shows descents participation in classes.

Student hands most of the assignments in time. Assignments shows good skills. Student attend at least 60% of classes. Student shows active participation in classes.

Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

Student hands all assignments in time. All the assignments shows exceptional skills. Student attend at least 80% of classes. Students shows very active participation in classes.
