Objectives (course unit)

The student knows the principles of information systems, their use and construction and the requirements of different organisations concerning information systems. The student can utilize information systems efficiently and can take part in information systems planning and development projects. The students will be acquainted with information systems in forest management planning and wood procurement of different organisations.

Content (course unit)

Service and maintenance of PC, operating system, installation of programmes. The structure of Information system, databases, examples of information systems in some forestry organisations. Creating of information system with GIS -program consisting geographical information.

Paikkatieto- ja SilvaGis harjoitukset osuus yhteensä 30 %
Luentotentti osuus 40 %

Content scheduling

Eeva pitää SilvaGis harjoituksen sekä paikkatietosovelluksen laatimisharjoituksen. Harjoitukset ovat arvioitavia osasuorituksia (painoarvo opintojakson kokonaisarviointiin on yhteensä 30 %)
Muilta osin tunnit pitää Jukka.
Tutoriaalien osuus arvioinnista on 30 %
Tentin osuus arvioinnista on 40 %
