Objectives (course unit)

The students know the manufacturing process of paperboards and speciality papers and how it affects the quality and the costs of the paper as well as the environment. The course strengthens the students’ professional development

Content (course unit)

Special production characteristics (multi-layered webbing, yankee pressing e.g. Condebelt) of paperboard (blached and non-bleached woodfree board, liquid packaging board, folded board, recycled board, liners and fluting, wall paper board, core board, graphical board, gypsum board, wood board).

Special production characteristics of speciality papers (backing and coating of adhesive papers, bag and wrapping papers, tissue, heat-sensitive papers, papers of construction industry, tobacco papers, greaseproof papers, dry paper, thin printing paper and others).
