Objectives (course unit)

The students know the terminology and the most common procedures of project management. They are able to analyse forest industry projects. The students are able to plan and draw up a project plan related to a forestry production and/or product development project.

Content (course unit)

Framework and terminology of project management, project preparations and organising, work division, project planning and budgeting, managing project’s resources, costs and schedules, risk management, project implementation and management, project reporting, project communications, ending a project, investment and product development projects of forest industry.

Prerequisites (course unit)

PTK-21 paperin valmistustekniikka or PTK-IPPT0 paper manufacturing Technology

Assessment methods and criteria

Suoriutuminen arvioidaan verkkokurssin tehtävien perusteella. Kun kyseessä on arviointiin vaikuttava tehtävä, se kerrotaan tehtävänannossa, samoin tehtävän painoarvo kokonaisarvioinnissa. Kaikki annetut tehtävät on tehtävä kurssin läpäisemiseksi. Suoritukset kootaan taulukoksi, josta jokainen voi seurata omaa tilannettaan.
