Objectives (course unit)
The logistics course covers the basics of procurement, warehousing, transportation, inventory, packaging, material handling, supply management, operations, information and organization topics.This course will use the LORD-Logistics redesign software and ED-Enterprise Dynamics as learning simulation programs. After completing the course, the students will be able to:
Design supply chain models.
Manage procurement processes.
Analyze logistics costs against company service level.
Calculate the inventories costs.
Know the basics of warehousing and transportation operations.
