Objectives (course unit)
A thorough Thesis Plan, i.e. an extended topic analysis, forms the second chapter of the thesis. As a rule you should have made good progress in familiarisation with literature at this stage and, hence, proper referencing is expected from a Thesis Plan.
At this point of the thesis process, the students will be able to:
Develop thesis objectives or form possible research questions.
Understand which theories form the basis of the thesis.
Know how to choose appropriate research methods.
Demonstrate an estimated project timetable for the thesis project.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of Research Plan is pass. Thesis evaluation criteria is discussed during the course 'Final Thesis Practicalities and Research Methods' (3B-59E)

Research Plan is 3 ECTS
Content scheduling
Research Plan is the first part of Bachelor's Thesis and it takes place during the third or fourth study year. Please note Final Thesis Practicalities and Research Methods - course takes place during the second study year (spring term) and it is a prerequisite for the Bachelor's Thesis.

Finding a commissioner for the thesis project is highly recommended
