Objectives (course unit)

Students have improved their playing-and singing-technical-skills and has know-how to personal artistic expression and wide shape of the whole. Students are capable to perform different musical styles repertoire. Students have prerequisites of performing in public concerts.

Musical Theatre:
Students know the key repertoire of music theatre and rhythm music and its different styles and style means. Students have prerequisites of performing in public concerts.

Content (course unit)

Content
Versatile learning of the repertoire of level C or B, including at least half of repertoire of the level in question.

Musical theatre:
Learning of keyrepertoire of musictheater and rhytmmusic and its charasteristic styles.
Repertoire and performance requirements are defined in performance requirements of Tampere University of Applied Sciences

Evaluation criteria Satisfactory (1-2)
The student is capable of performing repertoire of professional level.
The artistic and technical mastery of the instrument is at a satisfactory level. The sound culture is restricted. Mastery of musical entities is poor.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Good (3-4)
The student has technical and artistic mastery of the repertoire and can articulate the charasteristic features of different styles. The student`s sound culture is fairly extensive and mastery of musical entities is good.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Excellent (5)
The student demonstrates not only excellent technical mastery of the repertoire but also artistic and personal strength of expression.. The student`s rendering of the charasteristic features of different styles is particularly impressive.
The student`s sound culture is extensive and he/she is capable of creating controlled stylistic entities.

Exam schedules

Ensimmäisenä vuotena kerätään ja harjoitellaan erityylistä ohjelmistoa. Toisena vuonna tehdään tutkinto jonka vaikeusaste voi vaihdella eri opiskelijoilla. Sisällöt instrumenttikohtaiset.

Teaching methods

Osallistuminen instrumenttiopetukseen. Kuoronjohtajat 12x45 min./lukukausi, orkesterinjohtajat 15x45 min., sävellys-, musiikin teknologia- ja teoriaopislelijat 12x45 min., teoriaopiskelijat 9x45 min. Oma harjoittelu Opinnot kestävät 2 vuotta.

Learning materials

Sovitaan opettajan kanssa. Taitotasoja voi olla monenlaisia. Antaa mahdollisuuden myös C- tai B-tasoisen resitaaliohjelman valmistamiseen.

Student workload

Säännöllinen opetukseen osallistuminen, oma harjoittelu, mahdolliset esiintymiset opiskelijakonserteissa.

Opiskelija kykenee esittämään vaadittavan ammattitason ohjelmiston.
Taiteellinen ja tekninen instrumentin hallinta on tyydyttävää. Sointikulttuuri on rajoittunut. Musiikillisten kokonaisuuksien hallinta on välttävää.

Opiskelija hallitsee ohjelman teknisesti ja taiteellisesti sekä tuo esiin eri tyylisuuntien erityispiirteitä.Opiskelijan sointikulttuuri on kohtalaisen monipuolinen ja musiikillisten kokonaisuuksien hallinta on hyvä.

Opiskelija osoittaa ohjelman erinomaisen teknisen hallinnan lisäksi taiteellista ja persoonallista ilmaisuvoimaa. Opiskelija tuo esiin erityisen vakuuttavasti eri tyylisuuntien ominaispiirteitä. Opiskelija on omaksunut rikkaan sointikulttuurin sekä kykenee luomaan hallittuja muotokokonaisuuksia.
