Objectives
Student is able to guide new students in TAMK. In addition, student knows the services of learning and well-being support at TAMK as well as their own degree programme and gets experience from leading a group. Student works in co-operation with TAMK’s staff and can communicate in different situations.
Content
Course includes training sessions and after that independent work. Trainings will cover leading a group, grouping activities, performance skills, knowledge about student’s own degree programme, students social and political affairs and facilitating Self-Hack workshop. Independent work includes tutoring at orientation week, participation in at least two Students’ Union’s events, monthly meetings and other communication with the tutoring class and final report/ learning diary about tutoring including development suggestions.
Assessment criteria, pass/fail
Pass:
Student has participated trainings, worked as a Peer Tutor for group during their first academic year, participated orientation week, participated two Tamko’s event and filled final report.
Student is able to guide new students in TAMK. In addition, student knows the services of learning and well-being support at TAMK as well as their own degree programme and gets experience from leading a group.
Student works in co-operation with TAMK’s staff and can communicate in different situations.
Fail: The criteria mentioned above are not met.
