Objectives

Having completed work on this module, students will be able to use the target language
to cope in the most common communication situations, for example when travelling on
business, or receiving foreign visitors at their place of business. Communicative
functions practised will include conducting personal business, asking for and giving
information, offering assistance, and giving advice.

Teaching methods: The practice activities are based on interpersonal interaction, and promote the development of communicative competence face-to-face and in writing. Audio-visual on-line learning tools may also be used.
