Objectives
The Retail Trade and Entrepreneurship studies begins with the Retail trade environment (5 ECTS) course. This section presents the effects of the retailing sector and its operating environment. The goal is to understand how changes in the operating environment affect retail trade in many ways. The course introduces students to the means of competition in retailing, career paths and retailer entrepreneurship. Accountability in the retailing sector is also discussed. The course ends with a look at the future of retailing from different perspectives.

The student is able to prove they have the command of the most essential basic concepts of
retail trade.

The student is able to prove they have the command of basic concepts of retail trade and they
recognize the basic principles of retail trade.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to prove they have the command of basic concepts of retail trade and understand the basic principles of retail trade.
Further information
Retail Trade and Entrepreneurship studies* consists of three five-credit online courses, which can be completed independently regardless of time and place.
Retail Trade and Entrepreneurship studies are offered twice a year: in spring and autumn. The courses contain up-to-date information on the field of retailing, and the K-Group serves as an example. It is recommended to start studies after completing the basic studies, you can also choose only the course you want to study. The aim of these studies is to bring up-to-date knowledge in the field of retailing also from the perspective of entrepreneurship for the career path of the future.

In these studies, you progress through a variety of tasks. The tasks are diverse and require a deep focus on the topics discussed. Tasks take time, but by completing them you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the retailing industry and work tasks.
There are no lectures in the course, and all assignments are completed independently online. The grade consists of a review of the training and various tasks, such as exam questions, discussions and wider assignments to be returned. You will receive your own certificate for each course you complete, and you can add a certificate to your LinkedIn profile.
