Objectives

The course is based on the European GreenComp competence framework for sustainable development (2022).

Upon completing the course, the student:
• understands the purpose of the GreenComp competence framework.
• can evaluate their own sustainability thinking based on the GreenComp competence framework.
• can evaluate their own sustainability actions based on the GreenComp competence framework.
• initiates sustainability actions both individually and collaboratively.

Content

1. Manifestation of Sustainability Values
2. Managing the Complexity of Sustainability
3. Envisioning Sustainable Futures
4. Sustainability Action

Each section includes materials that need to be reviewed during the course. Based on these materials, there are various tasks for each section. The course includes one major assignment that begins in the first section and concludes in the final section.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

The course is considered passed when the student demonstrates familiarity with the European GreenComp competence framework for sustainable development. The student must also show the ability to evaluate and develop their own sustainability thinking and actions.
