- is able to describe methods to identify user needs and is able to co-develop need-based and user-oriented technologies and has tried some of these
- does not actively discuss ethical and data protection issues in the context of welfare technologies

The student
- is able to correctly apply key concepts of welfare technologies and user-centered design and to choose methods for different situations in the development process
- is able to use methods to identify user demands and is able to co-develop technologies
- contributes to the discussion on ethical and data protection issues in the context of welfare technologies

The student
- is able to apply and combine methods to identify user demands and is able co-develop need-based and user-driven technologies
- is able to analyze, document and critically evaluate study results

Teaching methods

100% online course on the Moodle learning platform (https://moodle.tuni.fi), a self-paced modules.

The course includes independent reading and writing assignments and a final exam on Moodle. The course is delivered only in Finnish.

The course is divided into modules. Passing all modules is a prerequisite for completing the course.
