Objectives
Students are able to describe the approaches of different social science disciplines. They understand the connections and distinctions between social science disciplines. They are able to define key concepts in different social sciences and to explain their research orientations. They are able to describe the ways in which the different approaches conceptualise and explain social phenomena.
Content
The module comprises introductory textbooks in different disciplines. The social science disciplines discussed are criminology, gender studies, social anthropology, social policy, social psychology, sociology and youth work and youth studies.
Prerequisites
The completion of YKT.101 and YKT.102 is recommended either before or simultaneously with this module.
