- 5 cr
- Institution
- University of Tampere
Objectives
Course is recommended for students who are interested in the use of theoretical mathematics in more practical applications. Goal of the course is to go through different forms of mathematical modelling, applications and mathematical methods required in modelling. After the course student knows different kind of continuous and discrete mathematical methods that are used in mathematical modelling. The goal is that student can solve elementary problems with these methods and apply these methods when modelling and solving a real world problem.Course is group work oriented and student should be able to solve mathematical modelling problems as a part of group. The goal is that group members could identify their own strengths as a part of a group.
