Dimensioning of Machine Elements (5cr)
Course unit code: C-10122-KONE--240
General information
- Credits
- 5 cr
- Institution
- University of Tampere
Objectives
After completing the course, the student will be able to analyze and dimension the straight power transmission shafts, gears and rolling bearings in terms of life and deformations emphasizing on numerical methods. The student is able to analyse and solve problems related to these components. Concerning the gear box, gear contact excitation and fretting fatigue in joints, the student will be able to name the basic concepts.
