Objectives
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to utilize the modeling principles of modern CAD software in product development and mechanical engineering projects. They will be able to create part and assembly models using CAD software, leveraging features and model parametrics. The student will have the ability to build configurable models. They will be able to transfer models between different software systems and fix damaged models. The student will understand the connection between manufacturing methods and design software. They will be able to model machined and sheet metal parts and understand the modeling process for plastic products. The student will also be prepared to learn other CAD software.
