Objectives
By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of some of the key issues in modern ethics and social philosophy, and thus a deeper understanding of the topics they studied in their undergraduate courses in ethics and social philosophy. They will be able to describe and evaluate key issues and theories in contemporary debates and use them to explore ethical problems and social issues through philosophy.
Content
The common course deepens students' understanding of key issues in practical philosophy and seeks to relate different approaches to ethics and social philosophy. The elective courses in Ethics and Social Philosophy (FILA13, FILA14) may focus in more depth on specific topics, this course being of a general nature. Lectures are recommended.
