Objectives
After completing the course the student:- Understands the concept of model-based design in the context of machine automation control system development- Understands the properties and characteristics of real-time systems- Knows the basic principles of model-based control and its differences to other control methods, such as PID- Can implement a model-based real-time control system utilizing Simulink - Understands the characteristics of a time continuous trajectory generation with respect to different controller types and is able to take that into account in the control system implementation- Can define the kinematic chain of a multibody system and is able to utilize that in the trajectory generation- Knows different rapid prototyping equipment and is able to utilize some rapid prototyping environment and its user interface in the control system testing- Knows the ways of code generation and different code generation targets
