Objectives

This course is designed to give the student an introduction to the systems engineering process and introduce to the student to critical issues in the field of systems engineering applied to the factory automation domain.After the course student should be able to organize a system development project. Student should understand the need and relationships between different models. S/he should be able to model given problem with UML.

Core contentBasic principles of systems engineering, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Adaptive SDLC, Unified Modeling Language (UML). History; Methodologies; Tools and Techniques; and the modeling of systems for SE Applications and Practice of SE to the Factory Automation domain Complementary knowledgeThe knowledge of OO programming languages (e.g. C++, Java)
