Objective of course
Students master the fundamental techniques and skills of composing and can apply these to compositions on a small scale. They have the ability to describe their compositional ideas and plan their realisation.

Course contents
Exercises in composing according to the plan agreed on between the teacher and student, including for example chamber music, vocal music and / or electronic music on a small or somewhat larger scale.

Teaching methods
Individual instruction. Becoming acquainted with the music of our time through literature, scores and recordings. Independent compositional assignments and discussions with teacher on basis of these assignments. Composition seminar.

Assessment methods
A selection of compositions is handed over for assessment. These may include compositions included in the assignments for Composing C1. Portfolio assessment by teacher with 1-2 colleagues.
