Objectives

The students fulfill the heat and moisture technology skill requirements for a class A construction physics designer. They also know what factors affect internal air and how to draw up an energy certificate.

Content

Heat technology: Calculating the thermal transmittance according to the RakMK C4 and SFS-EN standards. Calculating temperature distribution by hand and with computers. The demands of RakMK D3 and the calculation of heat loss of buildings.

Moisture technology: Air humidity and dampness of building materials. Moisture technology of concrete floors. The most important demands of RakMK C2 and RIL 107-2000. Calculating moisture effects by hand and with computers. Basics of moisture technology measurements and analysis.

Indoor air: Indoor air classification, material classes and cleanliness rating of work. The most important demands of RakMK D2. Microbes and their effects, material emissions, radon. Repairs regarding indoor air.

Energy certificate: The legislation demands regarding the contents, different methods and the qualifications of the writer. The theoretical energy consumption of a building according to RakMK D5. Calculating the actual energy consumption of a building.
