Objectives

The students learn to identify and interpret the graphs of functions and are able to apply their skills in solving technical problems. The students are able to calculate the area of plane regions as well as the areas and volumes of the most common bodies.

Content

Polynomial functions and their graphs (line and parabola), linear dependency and comparability, solving quadratic equations, areas of different polygons, circle (angles, length of the circumference, areas of the sections), calculating the centre of mass, areas and volumes of bodies, the concept of logarithm, logarithm and exponential function.
