Statistical Design of Experiments (3cr)
Course unit code: N-ICT1008
General information
- Credits
- 3 cr
Objectives
The students understand the phases of statistical research. They are able to construct simple statistical expermients and to both visualise and analyse them using the most suitable methods. The students are able to use computers to carry out simple simulations. They learn to diffrenciate between experimental and non-experimental research designs.
Content
Randomization, parcellation, repetition. Significant threshold value and normal distribution. Applying the distribution of other important sample quantities. Randomized and a x b factor experiments. Analysis of variance. Taguchi methods. Stocastic simulation and related computer techologies.
