Objectives
Having completed work on this module, students will
- understand how business operations can be developed and expanded both nationally and internationally, and know what factors must be taken into consideration when developing the operations of a business
- be able to deal with the procedures involved in preparing annual financial statements.
Content
In this module, the operations of the Practice Enterprise are developed and expanded, and students reflect on the Enterprise?s future prospects. Students learn about expanding the operations of a business at home and abroad. They practise acquiring information about the business environment in the target foreign market. They plan export operations, and go through the procedures of doing business within the EU, from the request for quotation to delivery of order. They also prepare financial statements and annual reports for their Practice Enterprises.
Other issues covered in this module are risk management and selecting a business strategy for expanding enterprises. Students continue to work on improving their IT and communication skills.

Teaching methods: Group work. Each group will work on their own Practice Enterprise, as established in module H-P0210. The Practice Enterprise group work will be supported by lectures and other practice tasks.
