Objectives

After having completed the course the students
1. are able to read and understand Finnish magazine and course book text more easily
2. can use the structures of the written Finnish, as well as plural forms of nouns and the nominal forms of verbs.
Apply the grammatical structures in new ways of using the Finnish language.
3. recognise the characteristics of the Finnish society and culture in magazines and other media. The students can also acquire important information from media and to use it in their everyday lives.

- grammar structures, non-finite clauses, plural forms
- detailed oral and written description of job tasks and work place
- small-talk with Finns
- living, working and studying in Finland
- expressing ideas in Finnish in various types of texts
- magazine and newspaper texts

Prerequisites: At least 15 cr of Finnish studies.
On-line studies: 3 cr
