Supplementary Course in Physics (3cr)

Objectives

The students know the physical laws behind the operating principles of different devices and machines. They learn the scientifical analysis of phenomena as well as applying the fundamental theories in the behaviour of moving and resting objects. The students know how to use quantities and units.

Content

SI-system, modelling of motion, force and Newton’s laws, work and power, energy principles, impulse, momentum.

Prerequisites

The course is meant for the students who have completed their upper secondary school education with up to 5 courses in physics.
