Objective of course
Students deepen their knowledge and skills in realising different forms of divine service. Students have the means to acquire information with different methods and have acquired a positive attitude towards research and scientific knowledge.

Course contents
" planning and realisation of different forms of divine service as an organist, cantor, chorister, celebrant or in another suitable role
" writing and performance of minor compositions and arrangements as a cantor (textual motets, psalms and antiphonal hymns, music for organ or other instruments)
" music services
" improvisation on a larger scale
" different forms of accompaniment
" familiarisation with practical ergonomics for church musicians
" acquisition of information from data bases
" reading and research of professional literature

Teaching methods
Practical liturgical training, realising different types of masses as well as the funeral and wedding masses. Preparatory lecture.

Assessment methods
A jury assesses the following elements:
" an examination in practical liturgy, which includes the evaluation of the arrangements / compositions / improvisations of students, as well as their performances as organists, cantors and choral conductors.
" realisation of a divine service in a congregation (with choir or ensemble)
