Objective of course
The technical and interpretative skills of the student have developed to the extent that the student is capable of independent artistic expression and has a command of large musical forms. The student has a command of the stylistically representative C-level repertoire of the instrument to the extent that he or she can take the C3 course in the following academic year.

Course contents
A comprehensive acquaintance with and command of the C-level repertoire for the instrument, including at least half of the repertoire demanded in the Main instrument C3 course. This repertoire and the demands of the course are defined in the course requirements for instrumental studies in Pirkanmaa Polytechnic´s Degree Programme in Music.

Teaching methods
Individual lessons, class lessons, independent work and performances.

Assessment methods
A colleague of the teacher assesses the concert performance of part of the C3 repertoire. This performance must include two stylistically differing pieces, unless the course demands of the instrument state otherwise. The student will receive oral feedback on the performance. Self-evaluation.
