Objective of course
Students should become familiar with biological, physical, chemical and psychological risk factors including basics of radiation protection. They should be able to ensure the safety of the client, themselves, other personnel and the environment. Students should be acquainted with the legislation, statutes and other norms pertaining to laboratory work. Students should be able to take appropriate action in situations where first aid skills are needed.

- appropriate and safe processing of hazardous waste
- psychological labour protection
- occupational safety and labour protection organisation
- legislation, statutes and other norms
- different kinds of radiation and protection against them
- visiting labour protection exhibition
- emergency first aid
- taking action in other situations where first aid skills are needed
