Students
-will learn to know the most important polymers, their manufacturing methods and properties
-will be able to choose a suitable plastic for a particular use
-will be able to prepare polymers in laboratory
-will able to test physical properties of plastics
-will be able to identify polymers and analyze their structures with spectrometric and chromatographic methods

Course contents
-the most important polymers, their chemical and physical properties and manufacturing methods
-synthesis of polymers by step and chain polymerization
-manufacturing of cellular plastic
-depolymerization
-analysis of the structure and properties of polymers by different methods
