Objectives
The course introduces students to project-based work and project implementation at different stages of the project.
Student:
- knows different types of projects and stages of project-based work
- knows project management tools and is able to use them appropriately
- is able to prepare written outputs for project needs and is responsible for project communication
- is able to work in project-based tasks and manage projects if necessary
Content
What happens in projects, how do they work and how are they managed?
What tools are available to help with project management? How are they utilized?
How are communication channels used appropriately to support project management?
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student knows the principles and tools of project work and has used some tool.
Students will only know the dynamics of projects in a theory or practice-oriented manner.
There is only some evidence of own project management and management skills.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
Students master the concepts, general processes and most common tools of project work and have applied them to practice.
The student has demonstrated the importance of communication and documentation in project management.
The student is able to work on projects and evaluate their management.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Students master the concepts of project work, general processes and the most common tools, and are able to lead a project.
The student knows how to select appropriate tools and has experience in their use.
The student is able to combine internal and external communication and documentation for both the individual project and the overall picture of the company.
