Objectives

The objective of the course is to equip students with the skills necessary to actively participate in their organization's project activities, particularly in the comprehensive development of project operations and their organization's project culture.

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to
• identify the concepts of organizational project culture and project-oriented society.
• understand what constitutes a successful project and its key success factors.
• recognize the role of projects in organizational development activities.
• identify how project activities and management have evolved in recent decades.

Content

• Individual development of project management skills
• The role of a Project Management Office (PMO) in developing the organization's project culture
• Portfolio management and leadership of projects
• Project models, their development, and implementation within the organization's management system

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is familiar with the characteristics of development projects.
The student is familiar with the most common R&D&I (Research, Development, and Innovation) processes within organizations.
The student understands the concept of project portfolio management and knows how to manage it.
The student is familiar with the principles of developing organizational project portfolio management.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student understands the unique characteristics of development projects and their impacts on project implementation.
The student understands and can identify various R&D&I (Research, Development, and Innovation) processes within an organization.
The student understands the concept of project portfolio management and its significance in implementing the company's development strategy.
The student understands the different opportunities of organizational project portfolio management.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to critically evaluate various development projects and analyze their requirements.
The student is capable of critically assessing the R&D&I (Research, Development, and Innovation) processes within an organization.
The student can effectively utilize project portfolio management tools and critically evaluate organizational project portfolio management methods.
The student can develop organizational project portfolio management.
