Objectives
In the course Future Entrepreneurship, we explore modern models of entrepreneurship and emerging phenomena. The objective is to guide students in recognizing novel business opportunities and understanding their own potential to act as change-makers or entrepreneurs in the future.
After completion the course, student
• is aware of the different models to pursue entrepreneurship
• understands the role and meaning of entrepreneurship to society
• understands importance of foresight and leadership in entrepreneurship
• learns to value selfesteem as way to progress entrepreneurship
• can deal with risk management
Content
Entrepreneurial Psychology: Entrepreneur's self-awareness and well-being.
The Importance of Team and Networking: Exploring why a well-functioning team is crucial for a business, how networking can enhance business activities, strategies for creating and maintaining a strong network, and identifying new opportunities.
Coaching Leadership: Creating a thriving culture, recognizing and developing one's leadership style, conflict resolution.
Social Entrepreneurship: Being a positive force for change and how to achieve It.
Future Anticipation, Risk Management, and Change Leadership.
Various financing options for future businesses: investors, crowdfunding, venture capital, and new forms of financing.
"Tomorrow's Growth Companies": Case examples of responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Assessment criteria, pass/fail
The course is completed when you have demonstrated an understanding of various models of future entrepreneurship, their opportunities, and the developmental trajectory of business operations. You should be able to relate the requirements of entrepreneurship to your own motivation and potential.
The course will be deemed unsuccessful if you have not demonstrated an understanding of phenomena related to future entrepreneurship, the significance of recognizing opportunities for new business ventures, or familiarity with the essential terminology of the subject.
